His poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in journals including Cincinnati Review, Greensboro Review, and Pleiades. The recipient of the Poetry Society of America's Lucille Medwick Memorial Award and a Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers' Conference, he lives in Chicago and teaches at DePaul University, where he is Assistant Director of Publishing & Outreach.
