Charity Yoro

Charity E. Yoro is a steward of words and other beings. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Rumpus, poets.org, Tupelo Quarterly, and elsewhere, and has been supported by Regional Arts & Culture Council and Sustainable Arts Foundation. Charity has received Pushcart Prize and Orison Anthology nominations, and residencies with Small Press Traffic and Mineral School. Born, raised, and educated on the east side of O‘ahu, she currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her wild, loving family. ten-cent flower & other territories (First Matter Press 2023) is her debut poetry collection.
