Diana E.H. Shortes

Diana E.H. Shortes has been living and working as a performing artist, poet, educator and yoga instructor in New Orleans since the year 2000. Born in Austin, TX and raised in Galveston, Lake Jackson, San Francisco, Cleveland, Moorehead, Nashville, Clarksville and Yellow Springs, Diana is part of the Drama Department faculty at NOCCA. She is a two time Big Easy Award recipient for Best Actress. Diana’s original solo works include The Baroness Undressed, a butoh-burlesque-biography of Micaela Almonester of New Orleans, Baroness de Pontalba and White Sauce and DiaperBabies, a look at the life and work of poet Anne Sexton.
