Genève/Geneva Chao is the author of several books of poetry and translations, most recently émigré (Tinfish, 2018). Chao's work engages how language warps and wefts identify, definition, and allegiance, existing in the liminal space between ancestry and acculturation. Chao is currently completing a manuscript about the toxicity of masculinity to its subjects.
